WHAT TO WEAR

Work out clothes are great. No skirt is needed. This way I can correct leg lines.

If you don't have flamenco shoes we recommend a low thick stable heal with a strap. You should feel secure and the shoe should cover the whole foot. Ankle boots can also work.

Featured Quotes;

"Maria is a phenomenal teacher. She's been able to deconstruct the structure of a Buleria so that it doesn't feel so intimidating. Thanks to her warm yet informative approach, I am well on my way to finally understanding how to put together a Buleria." A.K. - Flamenco Student

"Maria always knows the exact feedback to give to improve my dancing. She is the flamenco whisperer!" A.K. - Flamenco Student

"Maria creates a safe and warm environment so it is comfortable to try new things and see what works. I am not scared to "look bad" or make mistakes in her class because she turns those moments into opportunities for learning and growth." A.K. - Flamenco Student

"Hi Maria, I am at the studio right now practicing. I am working on my solo and I am trying to incorporate everything you are teaching me and my dancing is improving. Thank you for being such an attentive and giving teacher." L.L. - Flamenco Student

"I truly enjoy teaching others this art form. Flamenco is the perfect outlet to challenge and express yourself, to feel empowered, and to just have a good time. I focus my classes around giving my students the confidence to become independent dancers. I stress technique, knowledge of cante (song), rhythm, and grooving. See you in the studio!"- Maria Avila
